SCBWI Pennsylvania: East hosts over a dozen virtual and in-person events each year for children's book authors, children's book illustrators, and children's literature translators, from picture books through young adult novels and informational texts. Our past events have included meet and greets, webinars, online critique intensives, author panels, illustrator intensives, in-person workshops, retreats, and opportunities for PAL (published and listed) members, all of which are intended to further each member's career in children's books. Our region includes the following Pennsylvania counties: Adams, Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Mifflin, Montgomery, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Perry, Philadelphia, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York. The SCBWI: Pennsylvania East Equity and Inclusion Team is pleased to be able to offer a scholarship for our annual spring retreat, Pocono and the Three Bears—In Search of Just Right.
