Words in the Woods: ALLERTON Masthead Contest

Allerton Park & Retreat Center is the former home of artist and philanthropist Robert Allerton. The property contains 1500 acres of woodland and prairie areas, a mansion and reflecting pond, a 10-acre meadow, formal sculpture gardens, hiking trails, a café and lodging facilities. It isa wonderful place to experience art, nature, and history. Head over to their website to see images and read about the history of Allerton to get inspired. Masthead will be used in all promotion of WITW 2024, which includes various social media platforms. Illustrator will be credited wherever winning design is used to promote the event.  All entries will be placed into an online gallery and will be voted on by fellow SCBWI Illinois members. Voting will take place from February 1 to February 4, 2024.Winner will be announced Feb 5th. PRIZE Winning illustrator will receive all 2024 Words in the Woods intensive recordings and one portfolio review with a faculty member. Entry must be received by 11:59 pm on January 31, 2024.
