MMW 2024 Conference Book Store

SCBWI Marvelous Midwest 2024 Bookstore - Hosted by Beaverdale Books

Do you geek out in the presence of published authors and illustrators? Do you love to buy books and snap pics with friends from the Midwest region? Us too!

Beaverdale Books, an independent bookseller in Des Moines, will host our SCBWI Marvelous Midwest 2024 Conference Bookstore, offering books by our faculty and SCBWI member attendees, both PAL and independently published.

In order to celebrate your success, all published authors and illustrators with a book published within the last three years are invited to SHOW & SELL one title during the Marvelous Midwest Conference on April 12-14, 2024.

To participate, all traditional and self-published members must register for the conference AND fill out the submission form by February 16, 2024. When you register, be sure to mark "I have a book for the MMW bookstore." When you have completed your registration, go to "MY EVENTS", find MMW Bookstore and click on “MEETING INFO." The link to enter your information can be found there.

Note: You must be a member of the 2024 conference faculty or a SCBWI Member registered for SCBWI Marvelous Midwest 2024 to participate in the bookstore.

If traditionally published, we’ll ask for the following info:

  1. Title
  2. Your name as it appears on the cover
  3. Publisher and Date of Publication

  5. Phone number (for bookstore, in case there’s a complication)

If self-published, we’ll ask the following info:

2.    Your name as it appears on the cover

3.    Phone number (so the bookstore can call you and make plans to consign)
