SCBWI Marvelous Midwest Conference Ready or Revise Pitch Panels

An Opportunity to Pitch Your WIP! It’s Free!

Submit your anonymous pitch to our stellar faculty to get first impressions and honest feedback.  The faculty will read and comment on as many submissions as possible in the allotted time during a session at the conference. They will vote either “Ready” (you’re on the right track) or “Revise” (still needs work). One panel for picture books, one panel for MG and YA.

If your pitch is not selected, don’t despair! We will place pitches in a document with your contact information for our agents and editors to view. Entice our industry judges!

Guidelines:

Submitting to Ready or Revise does not guarantee that an entry will be discussed.

After registering, go to "MY EVENTS" on your SCBWI Member Home page, then go to "Ready or Revise Pitch Panel" and open "MEETING INFO" to find the Jotform link for uploading your pitch. We will close submissions by March 15, 2024, or when we have reached 50 submissions.

To participate, you must be a registered Marvelous Midwest Conference 2024 attendee and SCBWI member.

We will have two categories:

  1. Picture Book, Chapter Book

  1. Middle Grade, Young Adult, Graphic Novel.

You can only enter ONE pitch.

Pitches will be selected based on their ability to impart helpful information to the most people. A Ready vote does not come with a submission opportunity.

Submission information:
