The SCBWI-Wisconsin Scholarship for the Marvelous Midwest Conference

The mission of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators-Wisconsin (SCBWI-WI) We welcome, celebrate, and support Wisconsin writers and illustrators from all backgrounds. In line with this goal, we’re excited to offer at least one scholarship to attend the SCBWI Marvelous Midwest Conference in Davenport, Iowa April 12-14, 2024. This event is an excellent opportunity to meet agents and editors, meet other writers and illustrators, connect with a critique group, and more!

What the full scholarship includes:

• Your registration fee ($295 value for members)

You are eligible if:

• You live in Wisconsin and are a paid member of SCBWI.
• You haven’t won an SCBWI-WI full conference scholarship in the past.
• You have never attended a Marvelous Midwest Conference.
• You have not yet published a book for children or teens.
• Although scholarships are not based on financial need, we kindly ask applicants to keep in mind those members who could not otherwise attend without this opportunity.
