Serious about improving your craft? SCBWI's regional events provide opportunities for professional growth and help you connect with a supportive, creative community.
Attending the Bologna Children’s Book Fair is a great start to meeting publishers, networking, and getting feedback. But the work doesn’t stop there, and the follow up is as important as the preparation. Meet with SCBWI’s International Illustrator Coordinator Tita Berredo for a post Bologna conversation on how to make your connections last. You’ll have the chance to share your experiences, ask questions, and explore options for what to do next. Free to all — open to non-members Zoom link: https://scbwi.zoom.us/j/97530974093 Meeting ID: 975 3097 4093
Part 1: Workshop session led by Julie Blaho. Whether you're writing a PB or novel, the first page is so important. You only have a few minutes to convince an agent or reader that your MS is worth their time. Bring whatever you're working on and learn how to capture readers' curiosity in this hands-on workshop. A recording will be available. Part 2: Get your work in front of an agent and receive valuable feedback! The opportunity to submit a manuscript for feedback is exclusive to Premium Members. Submit a first page (PB, MG, or YA) by July 6th. Gaby Cabezut at The Seymour Agency will then provide feedback on selected manuscripts during a recorded Zoom session, which will be sent out to all registered participants.
