Building an International Writing Career with Chris Cheng

Award-winning children's book author Chris Cheng talks exclusively to SCBWI Italy about building an international and multilingual writing career and offers insight and ideas to help you develop your career. An introduction to Chris' work and experience, this is the first of a three-part series of events hosted by Chris, to be followed in earl 2027 by a practical workshop for authors and another for illustrators on crafting picture book beginnings. Chris is co-chair of the International Advisory Board for SCBWI, and an International Advisory Board Member for the Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC). He is a recipient of the Lady Cutler Award for Children’s Literature. He is an Ambassador for the National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature and presents in schools, conferences, and festivals around the world. Christopher Cheng is the award-winning author of many children’s books including: Bear and Rat¬¬- (published in many countries) an uplifting story about love and friendship through the hardest of times and was written for his beloved wife.
