For both aspiring and established authors, critique groups can help elevate manuscripts and artwork.
Critique groups can provide fresh perspectives as well as moral support.
SCBWI has launched SCBWI Critique Groups, a new service in your membership which allows you to join and create critique opportunities.
There’s nothing like sharing your work-in-progress with peers who understand what you are trying to do and who care enough to help you do it better. A good critique session can unlock something in a story that months of solitary revision never could. It builds confidence, challenges assumptions, and leads to breakthroughs, making your work better.
You can find the guide by logging in at scbwi.org, and click on the Member Home button in the top right
A great source of information about forming and maintaining a Critique Group can be found in the SCBWI Essentials Guide.
You can find this resource under your member home page/ under the resources tab.
