Serious about improving your craft? SCBWI's regional events provide opportunities for professional growth and help you connect with a supportive, creative community.
This is a two-part webinar series through SCBWI Midsouth. A recording of the first session, Start Here: a Roadmap to Building Your Creative Business, presented by Tanisia "Tee" Moore, is available for purchase through May 30 for viewing for 30 days from date of purchase. The second session, The Definitive Communications Primer: Building Communities through Narrative Communication led by Lys Fulda, will be held April 30 at 6:30 Central / 7:30 Eastern and tickets are still available for purchase.
Join us for an evening with award-winning author Christopher Cheng as he shares his insights into what it takes to sustain a creative career without losing joy in the journey. In conversation with SCBWI Midsouth Regional Advisor Emeritus Susan Eaddy at the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, Cheng will discuss how inspiration drawn from the world around him has informed his writing throughout a career that’s spanned more than three decades. Cheng will also relate how writing about love, friendship and family lends itself to a fulfilling creative process. Fans of picture books and stories for young people will leave this event energized to find their own joy in making books kids love.
