Our dynamic organization is focused on ensuring that members and everyone who wants to be part of the children’s book publishing community knows what SCBWI stands for. Our mission, vision, and values tells you who we are. We warmly welcome all who share our passion and commitment to fostering a thriving children's book industry.
Erin grew up in Colorado and studied journalism at the University of Montana. She holds a master's degree in communication and leadership from Gonzaga University. Her book, Oliver the Osprey, which she wrote and illustrated was published by NorthWestern Energy in December 2024. The book takes young readers on an exciting, fact-filled journey about the history and conservation of this majestic bird of prey. Erin is an animal-lover who loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys mountain biking, backpacking, and hiking with her partner Ryan and two dogs: Willow and Fern. She lives in Helena, Montana and works for NorthWestern Energy.
Tiffiny Spire is a reader, writer, and editor of kid-lit. Her years as an elementary school teacher showed her the importance of getting quality children’s books into kids’ hands. Along with the rest of the regional team, her aim is to bring together (virtually and in person) the SCBWI members of this wide-spread big-sky state by sharing book news and events. Help us get to know more about you and your work so we can spread the word. Contact Tiffiny at [email protected] with information about publications, events, and awards.
