A small critique group for picture books, middle grade, and young adult novels meets on zoom the
second Monday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. Additional outdoor critique meetups will be held at various historical and recreational locations in Connecticut during the summer months (TBD). Meeting signup is required for zoom and in person events. Participants will receive a reminder email before each meeting. Zoom link will be sent the morning of each meeting. Please respond only if you are writing in children's genre routinely or a published author looking to receive and give constructive criticism for manuscripts. Picture yourself with a supportive group of PB creators! We take our craft seriously and have also developed a camaraderie that extends beyond the once-a-month meeting. The Shoreline Connecticut Writer's Group welcomes all who write for children, picture books through YA, and are interested in developing their craft. Our members range from first time writers to award winning published authors, and we offer constructive oral critique that meets each writer where they are. We meet in person on the first Wednesday of the month from 6-8pm at the E.C. Scranton Memorial Library in Madison. Please call the library first if weather or holidays may affect hours.
