Unveiling A New Visual Identity for SCBWI New England

Congratulations to Lisa Mezoff, winner of the SCBWI New England logo contest! Lisa's artwork seamlessly blends the region's iconic autumn foliage with its coastal seashore.

Lisa Mezoff is a New England–based illustrator, author, and visual artist passionate about telling joyful, energy-filled stories for children. After studying at an arts high school, Lisa pursued a successful career as a graphic designer and creative director. While she frequently illustrated within her corporate design work, she reignited her focus on children’s book illustration later in life after her children left for college, refining her portfolio through SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators) and online coursework. Lisa’s work combines digital sketching in Photoshop on a Wacom Cintiq with rich traditional media, including watercolor, gouache, colored pencil, and pastels. She is the illustrator of Only My Dog Knows I Pick My Nose and is actively developing original picture book dummies to publish her own stories. When she isn't illustrating, Lisa enjoys playing with art through Urban Sketchers and monthly painting sessions with friends.
