There is a huge gap in diverse representation in children’s literature. We support diverse writers and illustrators who want to produce literature that reflects their own lives and stories.

Are you an aspiring writer or illustrator of children’s books? We invite you to join the New Mexico Chapter of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.

We encourage and promote our membership to reflect our diverse state which includes initiatives of recruitment that increase equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Every child deserves to see themselves in books.
