July Illustration Critique

Get ready for our June Illustration Critique Group - Wednesday 7/22/2026 at 7:00 pm EST! This is a great opportunity to receive valuable feedback and encouragement on your artwork and meet other artists like you. We are a supportive group and many people have grown in their craft from attending these monthly. We will divide our time between each participant, so everyone has the chance to share their work. We use zoom and you will share your screen when it is your turn. If you are not comfortable sharing or don't have anything to share currently, you are welcome to come and observe, provide feedback to others and learn! July Manuscript Critique

VIRTUAL / MONTHLY – WHAT TO EXPECT: Register for your chosen month on our Open Ohio North Events page. You'll receive a Zoom link by email the day before (or the day of) the meeting. *** SHARING YOUR WORK: At the beginning of each meeting, we'll see how many members would like to share so we can divide our time fairly. If you're sharing, have your manuscript open and be ready to use Zoom's Share Screen feature. If you'd rather not read your work aloud, someone else can read it for you. If you need help with screen sharing, simply email your manuscript to a Regional Team member before the meeting, and we'll display it for everyone. After each reading, members are invited to offer positive, constructive feedback. *** PLEASE NOTE: Sharing your work is completely optional, and so is giving feedback. You're welcome to attend just to observe and learn! Please be kind, respectful, open to suggestions, and most importantly, have fun! **** ALL children's publishing formats are welcome, including PBs, MG, YA, GN, Illos, dummies, queries, cover letters, contest entries, and more. July Novel Craft & Critique Night

It's back! Novel Craft & Critique is our monthly critique group dedicated to middle grade and young adult writers. Participants are welcome to email their manuscripts to fellow attendees in advance for more in-depth feedback, but sharing ahead of time is completely optional. You can share your work before the meeting, read it aloud during the session, or simply join the discussion, listen, and offer feedback if you'd like. Whether you're looking for constructive critique or just want to connect with other MG and YA writers, all are welcome! Members only. Registration required.
