Eori Tokunaga is a librarian and zinester based in Los Angeles. Her work is largely inspired by her childhood climbing trees, making fairy houses, and reading picture books in Japanese and English about food. When she isn’t painting, making pressed flowers, or creating zines, Eori works on her various manuscripts and picture book dummies that she hopes to have published one day. She’s been dreaming of this goal since Middle School. She currently serves as Assistant Editor for SCBWI-LA Kite Tales and as a freelance book reviewer for Booklist.
Typically we meet the second Saturday of the month. No meeting in March due to our Art Day event.
Expand your craft as authors and illustrators by making zines! We will go into the process of how to make mini zines using traditional art supplies and digital art mediums. During the workshop, there will also be time for folks to make their own zines about anything they would like. The best part about zines is that it doesn’t have to be perfect! Supplies will be provided, but you are more than welcome to bring your own!
