Hi Dana. What are we celebrating with you?

My debut picture book, “10 Things You Should Never Do The First Week of School.”

What do you feel led you to this place on your journey?

I've been a member of Southern Breeze for several years. I've taken advantage of several contests, and I'm honored to be a judge for those same contests. I've attended conferences, PAL meetings, and the Acorn to Oak class where I've earned so much and gained lots of friendships. I'm thankful for Southern Breeze for providing these opportunities.

Do you have any advice for Breezers who want to achieve something similar?

Keep writing, keep revising, keep submitting. Learn, improve, and never give up on your dream to write for children.
