Hi Stacy. What are we celebrating with you?

My debut picture book, Before I Lived Here.

Congratulations! What does this opportunity mean to you?

I appreciate any opportunity to discuss my debut picture book Before I Lived Here, which releases August 26, 2025. It's about the history of where you live. I wrote it when I lived in Colorado.

What do you feel led you to this place on your journey?

I've always loved sharing stories - real and fictional. As a kid, I loved reading and hope to write books that children will love. 

Do you have any advice for Breezers who want to achieve something similar?

Keep writing and strive to stand out. As I answer this form, I have one picture book sold. I have hundreds that haven't. They aren't all bad stories, but they don't all stand out from a crowded market. Read a lot of books and you'll see so many great books that are different and stand out!
