Artists must be 18 or older to submit.
Only published works will be considered. Books may be traditionally or self published, but a traditionally printed, physical book must be available to exhibit with the art.
If chosen for the exhibit, all artwork must be framed and ready to hang with proper hardware.
Published illustrators must be residents of Georgia, Alabama, or the Florida panhandle – the region represented by SCBWI Southern-Breeze.
Exhibition dates are October 2 through November 22, 2024, which coincides with National Arts & Humanities Month (October) and National Family Literacy Month (November). October 5th is Family Day in the City of Alpharetta. SCBWI Southern Breeze is working with Arts Alpharetta to plan book talks, book signings, workshops, and a panel discussion. Applicants will be given an opportunity to indicate their willingness to participate in these events on the application form.
