I'm interested in board books, picture books, and nonfiction books for children and teens that encourage positive childhood development, contain social emotional learning (SEL) themes, celebrate aspects of identity, or contain other themes that help children think for themselves and overcome challenges. I love authentic and lyrically written picture books with children as main characters about topics relevant to youth today. No animals as main characters, please. For nonfiction, I'm excited to review anything for ages 0-18 that teaches strategies or skills, explores emotions, or contains other self-help and SEL aspects. Some of my favorite books: Laxmi's Mooch by Shelly Anand, A Different Pond by Bao Phi, and Milo Imagines the World by Matt de la Peña.
