I am primarily a fiction editor. I acquire across picture books, middle grade, and young adult. While I am a big nerd for fantasy and science fiction, I do enjoy contemporary narratives and have worked on romantic comedies in the past. In picture books, I love mischief makers, grumpy curmudgeons, and a good sense of play in language (preferably in non-rhyming prose). Awkward characters are my jam in middle grade, and I love a book with a sense of emotional catharsis. A character-centric editor, I look for strong personality in narrative voice and meaningful arcs of change from start to end.
