Katie Heit is a senior editor Scholastic working on picture books and early readers. She primarily edits nonfiction, with select fiction titles. She works with many nonfiction authors, including Charles R. Smith Jr., Dean Robbins, Adriana Hernández Bergstrom, Sandra Markle, and Nell Cross Beckerman.

Interests

I'm looking primarily for nonfiction picture books, with select fiction titles. I am drawn to books that approach nonfiction in a kid-friendly way, and am especially on the lookout for nature and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) topics.
