Tracy Daley (left) and Stephanie Moore (right), pictured here at our Spring Retreat lodge in Bear Lake, serve as the co-Regional Advisors of the Utah/Southern Idaho region. Tracy and Stephanie bring extensive organizational, event-planning, and kid-lit experience to their roles. Tracy is from Salt Lake County and writes young adult novels. She is the primary organizer of our annual Spring Retreat in Bear Lake every March. Stephanie is from Utah County and writes both picture books and YA. She heads up the Fall Workshop and Critique in the Millcreek area each October.
Angie Lucas (left) has served as Assistant Regional Advisor since 2020, and Kathy Dye (right) joined her in 2024. Together, they run the annual Critique-a-Palooza online event. Angie lives in Bluffdale, Utah. She is the author of the picture books My Big Dumb Invisible Dragon (2019), My Big Embarrassing Elephant (2023), and Rafa and the Wrong Legs (coming Sept 2024). Kathy teaches 6th grade science in Rexburg, Idaho. She writes picture books and young adult novels.
Shawna J. C. Tenney grew up in a world of fort building, hand-me-down dress ups, and fairy tales. Her love of creating her own imaginary worlds with the pencil grew over the years, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Illustration from Brigham Young University. She loves telling stories through color, composition, and whimsical characters. Shawna is the author and illustrator of Brunhilda's Backwards Day , Pirates Don't Dance, and Anonymoose (Fall 2024). Shawna is happy to serve as the Illustrator Coordinator for the Utah/Southern Idaho SCBWI region. She also teaches Children's Book Illustration at Utah Valley University. She lives in Eagle Mountain, Utah, with her husband, two daughters, and two cats.
