Jacob Souva is an award-winning author/illustrator of picture books for children. He has illustrated many books, including The Boy with Big, Big Feelings (Beaming Books); Big Bike, Little Bike (HarperCollins); and Butterflies Are Pretty . . . Gross! (Tundra). His debut as an author-illustrator is titled Little Bee’s Flower. His debut Pedro’s Pan, was selected as a New York Public Library, Best Books for Kids. His illustration work has been featured in the Society of Illustrators Original Art Show 3 of the last 4 years.
Whirby, Feb ’26 (HarperCollins), has been selected as a Junior Library Guild (JLG) Gold Standard Selection.
Jacob is a seasoned presenter of his book ideas (just ask his Mom), worked for 10+ years as youth camping professional, and has visited libraries, schools, and literary festivals all over NY and beyond. Presentations are usually highlighted by a fun and interactive group drawing activity where kids are challenged to use their incredible imaginations.
He has a beautiful wife and two amazing sons and resides in a small rural community in upstate New York.
