I was published in December 2005 by Chicken Soup for the Recovering Soul; Daily Inspirations and in Chicken Soup for the Bride’s Soul in 2004. Caring Concepts Group published a story about my Grandfather. In December 2023 my poem about the Puca, Puca Boo,was Published in the Writer’s Loft Anthology called Gnomes and Ungnomes. In January 2023 I had a story published in Woman’s World magazine about our daughter called An angels’s song. I also look forward to an optimistic “quote of the day” accepted by Tiny Buddha’s calendar in 2026 that’s published by Andrews McMeel Publishing! I also had a contract with Dial that was revoked in 2009 due to the financial fallout at that time and my Assistant Editor, Shelley Diaz, went on to pursue another dream.

I'll show the process of a picture book being created through my book My Favorite Place. I’ll point out the acquisition process, as well, which was eye opening for me.

If I am presenting to younger grades, I may have them create their own stories using the template that I have used with my own classes.

Since I’ve a diverse writing background, I’ll show the different types of publications. (Magazines, short story anthologies , calendars, poetry anthologies as well as picture books)

I’ll point out all the rejections but how just one yes feels amazing. While I’m not a known author at all, being published has opened doors that I’d never have experienced without being published. I’ve done readings at The Big E, book signings at the International Reading Conference in Rhode Island, had my book featured on The Farmer’s Almanac calendar as having a coworker tell me their son came home with their favorite book for homework to read- my book! That’s the dream!
