October's Book Buzz celebrates picture book authors Steph Wade and Deb Buschman. The Beyond portion of Book Buzz features Christopher Robique. He will discuss his newest book and its tie to the theme of mental health. Join us on October 22nd.

SE Area: Saturday, November 14th from 10:30-noon at the Muskego Public Library Join Wisconsin author TK Sheffield for a lively, hands-on talk about short pieces of writing that do the most work: the logline, author tagline, and short descriptions. In the spirit of TK's tagline, Stories to Laugh and Escape, she will show how short, sharp sentences can hook an audience or an agent without giving the story away. Expect real examples and time to draft on the page. Come for the conversation; leave with a copy you can use!

The next NE WI SCBWI meeting will be November 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the De Pere Library, 300 N Broadway, De Pere, WI. You will spend some time discussing things to think about when naming your characters and then there will be an open discussion on anything writing or illustrating. Will there be more donuts??? You'll have to come to find out.
