SCBWI Undiscovered Voices
Unpublished, unagented SCBWI members in Europe are eligible to enter the 2026 Undiscovered Voices competition, offered free and in cooperation with Working Partners and SCBWI. This is your chance to jump the slush pile and launch your writing career!

If you're a member of SCBWI living in the UK or Europe, and you're an unpublished, un-agented author of Chapter Books, Middle Grade or Young Adult, then UV 26 is FOR YOU.
All you need to enter is:
- The first 2,500 words of your book
- 250 word synopsis
- 35 word pitch line
Our six amazing judges – three literary agents and three kids' lit editors – will be whittling entries down to a shortlist of winners who'll receive mentoring, a 'Getting Discovered' workshop day, inclusion in an anthology sent to key movers and shakers in the UK's publishing industry, and personal introductions at a launch party.
