Pricing & Policies

REGISTRATION

Registration for the Midsouth Conference closes when we reach 150 registrants or on August 23rd, whichever comes first. To register for the conference and select your breakout sessions, please visit the conference website—the registration form will appear after registration opens at 2:00 p.m. Central time/3:00 p.m. Eastern time on May 3, 2025.

Registration is online only. Payment of fees must be made online through SCBWI’s Stripe payment system. Tickets are not transferable. To be included on a waiting list that ends August 23rd, 2025, fill out the Waitlist form HERE.

Please note that because of scheduling logistics, no changes can be made after August 23rd. Thank you for understanding. 

SCBWI MIDSOUTH FALL CONFERENCE TUITION

Conference tuition includes all breakout sessions Saturday, the industry panel, the first pages sessions, viewing of pitch critiques, as well as the author signing party and cocktail hour. (The Bash and dinner, face-to-face critiques and submission to the portfolio showcase are not included - see below).

SCBWI MIDSOUTH CONFERENCE REFUND POLICY

There are no refunds for the Midsouth Conference except in the case of emergency (and only then if a waiting list exists, the request is made in writing by submitting this form, and if it is before August 23rd). In the rare case a refund is granted, it will always be less any credit card processing fees and any other processing expenses. There are no refunds for intensives, critiques, pitches or meals. SCBWI POLICIES AGREEMENT

You must be 18 years of age or older to attend SCBWI events, including the Midsouth Conference. By attending the conference, you agree to all SCBWI policies, including the non-discrimination/anti-harassment policy, policy prohibiting recording or distribution of conference materials and other policies outlined here, as well as it’s policy to maintain a firearms and weapons-free environment for the safety of all attendees and volunteers.

ADDITIONAL MIDSOUTH POLICIES

PROFESSIONALISM POLICY

Whether you are dealing with faculty, other attendees, or conference volunteers, raised voices, rude or unkind words, or behavior otherwise deemed inappropriate or abusive will not be tolerated. If you are asked to leave the conference, refunds will not be issued. Remember, too, when dealing with Midsouth committee members and officers that this conference is run entirely by people who volunteer their time! The Regional Advisors have the right to refuse admittance to anyone whose behavior is disruptive to the event, attendees or faculty.

FOOD POLICY

While we make every attempt to accommodate food sensitivities, please understand that we cannot ensure every participant’s dietary preferences and food sensitivities for every meal. If you have serious allergies/sensitivities or strict food preferences, please bring supplementary food with you. Thank you for understanding. 

PHOTO POLICY

It is the policy of the venue hosting us for our conference that no unauthorized photography that depicts the name and logo of the venue is allowed. When taking photos and videos during the conference, be mindful of what’s in the background and do not post any photos that violates this policy to your social media channels, blogs or personal websites. Also, the Midsouth’s social media coordinator will be present during the Midsouth conference. By attending the conference, you understand that you may appear in photos and videos that will be posted to the Midsouth’s social media channels, website and newsletter, as well as the social media channels, etc. of conference attendees.

You must agree to these policies to complete registration and attend the Midsouth Regional Conference.
