Midsouth Gives Back

Welcome to our annual Midsouth Gives Back campaign in memory of Linda Ragsdale, a longtime Midsouth member and supporter who passed away in 2023. Each year, the Midsouth selects a community group, library, or nonprofit working within Kentucky or Tennessee (or both!) to improve literacy around our region, or in support of other initiatives that align with SCBWI’s mission to put quality books into the hands of kids and teens.

The beneficiary of this year’s campaign will be the Addie & Baylor Kirchgessner Foundation, a Louisville-based nonprofit dedicated to providing children access to rich, diverse, and interesting books to help them grow and foster a passion for reading.

WAYS YOU CAN GIVE

Giving to this campaign is optional and does not affect your ability to attend the conference. 

1. At any time between now and the conclusion of the conference, visit the Foundation’s donation page HERE to make a direct donation to the organization in the amount of your choosing.
2. During the conference, visit one of the display tables featuring the Foundation’s logo to scan a QR code to donate directly to the organization in the amount of your choosing.

The Midsouth will not see or handle these direct donations.
