Picture Book Cohort Advanced is for you if
• You have completed 3 or more picture book manuscripts.
• You have submitted to agents and publishers and received personalized comments in response.
• You’re an experienced writer or illustrator but just not sure about your new project.
• You’re looking for feedback to take your work to the next level.
You’ll submit 1 picture book manuscript (fiction or nonfiction) each month, for a total of 6 mentor critiques, plus monthly peer critiques from the other members of your cohort. You may choose to submit new material each month, or revise and resubmit previously critiqued material.
Maximum size of this cohort is 6 participants.

About Mentor John Micklos, Jr.
John Micklos
has written more than 50 children’s books, including picture books, poetry books, and dozens of nonfiction books on a wide range of topics. His most popular titles include the picture books ONE LEAF, TWO LEAVES, COUNT WITH ME! (Nancy Paulsen Books/Penguin, 2017) and RAINDROPS TO RAINBOW (Penguin Workshop, 2021). Both have been Dolly Parton Imagination Library selections. John has spoken at national education conferences and at the SCBWI MD/DE/WV regional conference.
