NCTE is coming to Philly! SCBWI Pennsylvania East and New England are teaming up to host a booth in the Exhibit Hall at the 2026 Annual Convention for the National Council for Teachers of English (NCTE) at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia to promote our members' work to the thousands of teachers who will be there! REGISTRATION CONFIRMATIONS:
Upon completion of payment, you will receive a payment confirmation by email. You will also find a registration confirmation on the website that will include event-specific details. Go to your Member Home and click on My Events under the black bar at the top of the page. All events you have registered for will be displayed on this page. Additional meeting details (i.e., scheduling form) will be found under the green Meeting Info button.
REFUND POLICY:

Author/Illustrator Booth Signing ($40)
These signings are for people who ARE ATTENDING the 2026 NCTE Convention in Philadelphia. SCBWI CANNOT PAY FOR YOUR REGISTRATION to the NCTE Convention. You must register for the convention on your own or have a publisher sponsor your registration. NCTE Convention registration is required for your entry into the exhibit hall.

Book a one-hour signing slot at our booth!
Register and fill in the scheduling form by September 11, 2026 in order to have your name included in printed convention materials!
Signings will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Booth Hours:
11/20: 10:00am-5:00pm
11/21: 11:00am-5:00pm
11/22: 9:00am-11:00am
Please read the following eligibility criteria carefully.
To be eligible for a signing you must:
- be a current premium SCBWI member
- have your primary residence be in Pennsylvania East* or New England**
- be attending NCTE's 2026 Annual Convention in Philadelphia (you must be fully registered for the convention to be allowed into the Exhibit Hall to sign; SCBWI CANNOT PAY FOR YOUR REGISTRATION)
- have at least one published children's or young adult book
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Participating authors and illustrators are responsible for bringing their own books and managing their own sales/giveaways. We will have volunteers in the booth to assist you, but we cannot order or sell books for you.
To sign up for a signing slot, use the registration button above. After you register, the link to a scheduling request form will be provided in your Member Home on the SCBWI website. Go to your Member Home and click on My Events under the black bar at the top of the page. All events you have registered for will be displayed on this page. Find the NCTE event and click the green Meeting Info button. The link to the scheduling form will be found there. Please fill out the scheduling form immediately after registration!
Book Promo ($10)
Have your book displayed in the Eastern PA and New England SCBWI NCTE booth and/or promotional flyer and/or educator raffle!
Limited to one book per author/illustrator.
To be eligible for a book promo you must:
- be a current premium SCBWI member
- have your primary residence be in Eastern PA* or New England**
- have at least one published children's or young adult book
To sign up, use the registration button above and choose the "Book Promo" option.
Then mail one copy of your book to the booth organizer (detailed instructions and the mailing address will be provided in "Event Info" under "My Events" in your SCBWI member profile after registration).
The booth organizers reserve the right to select how and which books will be displayed, raffled, and/or included in the flyer. Any books that are not raffled will become part of the Eastern PA and New England SCBWI libraries and may also be used in future Eastern PA and New England SCBWI events, such as retreats or workshops.
Drop Off Swag (Free)
Do you have bookmarks, postcards, stickers, or other small swag or promotional materials you'd like to drop off for educators to be able to take? Bring it to our booth!
To be eligible to display swag you must:
- be a current premium SCBWI member
- have your primary residence be in Eastern PA* or New England**
- be attending the NCTE 2026 Convention in Philadelphia
Please note swag may not include books. See the Book Promo option above if you would like to have a book displayed or promoted.
Why are there fees?
It is very expensive (and a lot of work!) to host an exhibitor booth at the NCTE convention (and large conferences in general). We do not generate any income from hosting the booth. The small fees for the promotions above help defray some of the costs. The sole purpose of the booth is to highlight our incredible membership and the amazing work you do—both on the page and in schools. Thank you for chipping in!
