Your chance to learn about and swap craft books!
Alice Brock has attended workshops, academies, and conferences over the past many years and has learned a great deal about writing from the experiences of others. She has read a myriad of craft books and has learned a great deal from some and picked up some good techniques or a better understanding of skills from others. She will bring several craft books and give brief book reports and invites attendees to bring their favorite books to share as well. Afterwards, members may want to do some swapping.
Besides books, bring websites, blogs, or other electronic sources that you have found to be helpful in your writing journey. This meeting is for sharing our knowledge and experiences with others.
Alice Brock is a retired schoolteacher and a Texas rancher. Currently she is the author of three mid-grade Western Novels, the Will and Buck Series. The first two, River of Cattle and Mystery on the Pecos have won awards in the Western genre and the third, Palo Duro Mustangs, was published in March of 2024.
Our meetings are free and open to the public. We encourage you to invite members of the Brazos Valley writing community to join us!
