Nonfiction and Info-fiction Picture Book Mentor & Critique Event with author Heather Montgomery!

During this terrific roundtable event, you will have a 15-minute mentor session with Heather to consult on your manuscript, including suggestions on revision and marketability. In addition to the mentor session, Heather is offering a written critique of the same nonfiction/info-fiction manuscript (maximum of 1,200 words including back matter).

Location: College Branch Library, 4180 N College Ave, Indianapolis

Time: 4 to 6 pm


Registration is open for 7 picture book writers.


During this terrific roundtable event, you will have a 15-minute mentor session with Heather to consult on your manuscript – suggestions on revision and marketability. Prior to the meeting, you will receive a link to upload a 55-word pitch of your nonfiction or info-fiction picture book manuscript.


In addition to the mentor session, Heather is offering a written critique of the same nonfiction / info-fiction manuscript (maximum of 1,200 words including back matter).

Heather L. Montgomery writes for kids who are wild about animals. An award-winning author/educator, Heather uses yuck appeal to engage young minds. Heather also teaches grown-up kids (Highlights Foundation, the Writing Barn, and SCBWI regional and international events). Her recent books include: What’s in Your Pocket?
