Picture Book Study Group for adult readers and writers who want to stay current on new picture books and use picture books as mentor texts for their own writing. Meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10 am at Chapters Books & Gifts in Seward.
Picture Book Study Group to read and discuss newly released picture books from traditional publishers. Our goal will be to read deeply to learn about writing picture books and what makes a picture book a hit with kids and the adults who are reading to them.
Adult readers and writers who love picture books, specifically:
Adults who write picture books (fiction and nonfiction) and want to study their structures, language, illustration, and other aspects of their creation as mentor texts and to stay current on new picture books being released each month.
Adults who read picture books to children and buy them for children (teachers, librarians, childcare providers, parents, grandparents and others), who want to stay current on new picture books being released each month and choose books that will appeal to their target audience.
Other adults who love picture books and appreciate the skill that goes into their creation!
