On the Road With Oklahoma/Arkansas SCBWI in Tuttle, OK
You are invited to join the Oklahoma/Arkansas SCBWI as we go “On the Road” for a day of learning, connection, and feedback. The event is at True Oak Fellowship, 20 Worley Creek Dr, Tuttle, OK 73089.
Our keynote speaker is Mariana Llanos.
Mariana Llanos is an award-winning children’s books writer, poet, and translator. Born in Lima, Peru, her picture book Benita and the Night Creatures/Benita y las criaturas nocturnas received a 2024 Pura Belpre Honor (American Library Association) and was the winner of the Oklahoma Book Award in the children’s category.
Registration for this one day event is $40 for SCBWI members, $50 for non-members.
Your registration offers you the opportunity to hear from and learn from our local talent, submit a first page for panel feedback, and participate in critique groups and illustrator assignments.
Your registration also comes with the opportunity to submit an offsite critique to one of our professionals. NEW FEATURE: Both of the professionals will be choosing their favorite critique, which will come with a complimentary Zoom consultation after the event. These will be announced during the event, and these two individuals will work with our Regional Advisor to schedule the consultation.
