About Stephanie

Stephanie V.W. Lucianovic writes books in the San Francisco Bay Area surrounded by a few kids, a few cats, and one husband. She is the author of of two middle grade novels, THE LEAGUE OF PICKY EATERS and HUMMINGBIRD SEASON (2024), as well as picture books, THE END OF SOMETHING WONDERFUL (2019), HELLO, STAR (2020), WHAT IS HOPE (2023), and TOUCH THE SKY (2024). Stephanie still sleeps with the teddy bear she had as a baby, she has a bellybutton phobia, and while she had her four wisdom teeth removed as a teenager, two of them grew back. Stephanie will be reviewing picture books only, meeting at our Spring Event on March 2nd.

About Tim

Tim McCanna is the author and illustrator of the PEACH AND PLUM early graphic novel series. He has also written several picture books including BITTY BOT’S BIG BEACH GETAWAY, an ALA Golden Duck Notable Picture Book, IN A GARDEN, a Bank Street Best Children’s Book of the Year, SO MANY SOUNDS, an ALA-Children’s Book Council “Building a Home Library” book, and WATERSONG, a New York Public Library Best Book for Kids and NCTE Notable Poetry Book. Tim served five years as Assistant Regional Advisor for SCBWI’s San Francisco/South chapter, and he is currently a picture book writing instructor for Storyteller Academy. He lives with his family in San Jose, California. Tim will be reviewing picture books only, meeting at our Spring Event on March 2nd.

About Lindsay

Lindsay Lackey is the author of the award-winning middle grade novels, including the recently released FARTHER THAN THE MOON and ALL THE IMPOSSIBLE THINGS, which was named a Best Book of 2019 by the New York Public Library, Denver Public Library, and Children’s Book Review. Before she became an author, Lindsay trained as an opera singer, worked in children’s and teen services at a public library, and as a marketing and publicity coordinator for a major publishing house. Born and raised in Colorado, she now lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and their spoiled dogs. Lindsay will be reviewing middle grade novels only, meeting online Friday March 1st, with 15-minute time slots between 5 and 6:30pm PST.
