Background Information:
For many years all of the different SCBWI regions in Texas would each throw their own conference geared towards improving the career of children's book authors and illustrators.
This year, for the first time ever, all five regions are coming together to throw one big conference the size of Texas.
The conference takes place over the first weekend in May: May 4-5 in Round Rock, Texas and broadcast simultaneously over Zoom. We will be providing 16 breakout sessions and 8 intensives evenly distributed over four tracks. To teach these presentations, we are excited to be bringing in an art director, two editors, three agents, four illustrators, and eleven authors. Our keynotes for this year are Caldecott Honor winner Molly Idle, British author Sarwat Chadda, and local author PJ Hoover.
