Welcome to the All Y’all all Texas SCBWI Writers and Illustrators Conference – A conference as big as the state of Texas!
Join us May 4-5 here in Austin, Texas for opportunities to learn your craft, boost your career, get feedback on your work, and meet and make friends with fellow children’s book writers and illustrators. The schedule includes>>
- 3 keynotes
- The always popular publishing panel
- 16 breakout sessions on writing, illustrating, and professional development
- 8 intensives on picture books, novels, illustration, and professional development for our published and pre-published authors
- along with critiques, pitches, portfolio reviews, a portfolio showcase, and more!
This conference is being offered both in-person and online.
For those coming in-person, we’ll be at the Austin Marriott North, 2600 La Frontera Blvd, Round Rock, TX 78681. If you’d like to go ahead and make a reservation to stay with us, you can do so here.
For those who choose to attend online-only (or for in-person registrations that decide to do some events in-person and others online), we’ll be streaming nearly all of our sessions and intensives via Zoom.
We’ll also have critique opportunities for both in person and online-only attendees with either our in-person or online faculty members.

Upon completion of payment, you will receive a payment confirmation by email. You will also find a registration confirmation on the website that will include event-specific details. Go to your Member Home and click on My Events under the black bar at the top of the page. All events you have registered for will be displayed on this page. If there are additional meeting details (i.e. Zoom links for virtual events or materials required for the event), this information will be found under the green Meeting Info button.
