We Connect, We Belong: Creating a Meaningful Sense of Belonging with Diverse Books and Author Connections

Three picture book authors will highlight the power of culturally-affirming books and author visits to create vivid and real connections with readers in schools, enabling them to feel seen, and recognized. Participants will come away with creative strategies to diversity their classroom through literature, play, and activities to boost students’ confidence, and empower them to dream bigger and see themselves in a strength-based context.
