Eastern PA SCBWI's POCONO À LA MODE 2024 RETREAT PARTICIPANTS ARE AUTOMATICALLY REGISTERED FOR THIS EVENT!! Come join Kaitlyn Sanchez, who has sold over 30 books in her first three years as a literary agent, to discuss how to analyze feedback from critiques, agent/editor responses, and published books to help make your book the best it can be. Specific examples will help provide new insight and perspective into forging your own path through the publishing industry. At an additional cost, a limited number of spaces will be available to submit for the chance at live feedback on a first page. A limited number of critiques will also be available at an additional cost.

Kaitlyn Sanchez is a mom, wife, agent with Bradford Literary Agency, and middle school math teacher. For a CHANCE to get your FIRST PAGE critiqued LIVE during the webinar... (at an additional cost)

During the presentation, Kaitlyn will provide feedback on a limited number of participant First Page samples (max 250 words). PB text, PB dummy, MG and YA manuscript samples welcome!

For this portion of the presentation, we will be accepting submissions from the first 20 registered participants. From this pool, Kaitlyn will review these samples and select a few to review in the webinar.

Though Kaitlyn will be reading all of the samples, WE REGRET that she will not be able to provide feedback on all of them.

To participate:

PB text, PB dummy, MG and YA manuscript samples welcome!

Send NO MORE THAN 250 words max of the first page of your project. (Longer samples will be cut for length before we send them to Kaitlyn.)

For all submissions, format your work in 12 point font, with one-inch margins, and double spacing.

⇒Please include your name on every page of your work as a header or a footer, as well as identifying information on page one: first & last name, email address, title, genre.

⇒Please SAVE YOUR FILE as Sanchez Sample Pool_Your Last Name_CATEGORY OF MANUSCRIPT as a PDF or DOC or DOCx.

For all submissions, format your work in 12 point font, with one-inch margins, and double spacing. (US Letter paper size-Include all materials in the same document; please don’t send two documents.)

For PB, send one full picture book manuscript OR dummy plus a 2-3 sentence pitch in the same document.

For MG, send up to 10 pages of your manuscript, plus a one-page, single-spaced synopsis.

For MG Graphic Novel (MG-GN) dummy, send up to 10 pages of your manuscript, plus a one-page, single-spaced synopsis.

For MG Graphic Novel (MG-GN) pitch package, send up to 10 pages of your pitch package, plus a one-page, single-spaced synopsis.
