SCBWI England South and London

We are a relatively new region, but have already build up a vibrant and supportive community through WhatsApp, Instagram and our regular meet-ups, both in person and online. Our friendly community includes writers and illustrators at every stage of their creative journey, from those just starting out to those already published.

When organising events and opportunities for our region members, the Regional Team focusses on the SCBWI vision 'We believe there can never be too many good children’s books, and this simple belief guides everything we do'.

In practice this means we strive to provide:

• Opportunities for quality community connection so you can find your 'tribe' of people that have your back and cheer you on!

• High-quality, relevant webinars and learning opportunities so you can be inspired, while refining and improving your skills and confidence!

• Unique chances to get your work before industry leaders so you can progress your skills and career more quickly!

• Outside-the-box tools, resources and events so you can stand out from the crowd, and learn the things you didn't even know you needed to know!

• Regular contact through our monthly newsletters so you can see what is going on in the region, but also...

to remind you of your identity as a children's book creator! And that this may well be the most important (and most wonderful!) thing you ever do.
