Our third On-Location Sketching event is here! Join us for a relaxed and friendly sketching session at the Natural History Museum on Saturday, 27 June! We’ll meet at 1:00pm for a quick hello before exploring the museum and sketching at our own pace. The museum’s fascinating exhibits offer plenty of inspiration for artists of all levels. At 4:00pm, we’ll regroup to share sketchbooks, look at each other’s work, and enjoy some friendly feedback before heading home inspired. 🍃 This event is perfect for sketching, observing, and connecting with fellow artists. To join, please go to the event homepage and scan the QR code to message the SCBWI England South & London On-Location Sketching WhatsApp group for updates and details. We hope to see you there!
Come and join us for a drinks and social for Writers and Illustrators of Childrens books! Members and non-members welcome. Wherever you are on your author journey, come for support, solidarity, and to share your passion for wonderful children’s books! Although you are very welcome to bring a friend, due to SCBWI policy we cannot allow any under-18s to attend. There will be free snacks, but we will be asking a voluntary donation for drinks, all proceeds of which will go to Primrose Hill Community Library to help keep it running. Please join us for the second Book Club for Picture Books hosted by SCBWI England South and London. This is just like a normal book club, except discussing a well-known picture book! This online Book Club takes place on Zoom. It is inspired by the conversations that Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen have on https://lookingatpicturebooks.com and is a chance to meet other SCBWI members with a passion for Picture Books! -Rob Cooper (Assistant Regional Advisor- England South and London)
