The SCBWI Utah/Southern Idaho region welcomes children’s book writers, illustrators, and translators from Boise, Idaho, to St. George, Utah—and everywhere in between. Our regional community offers inspiration, education, and community. Join us to learn and connect with fellow creators who are passionate about books for young readers. The SCBWI Utah/Southern Idaho Mentorship Program was created to help writers polish their manuscripts with the help of established professionals in their field. Over a period of six months, mentees will receive critique and career advice from their mentors to help them succeed in the world of children’s publishing.

Fall Workshop & Critique 2025
Join us Saturday, October 18th for a day of hands-on learning from industry experts, with focused workshops led by special guests and critique groups with published authors and illustrators. To be held in Utah's Millcreek area, near the mouth of Parley's Canyon.
