Next Ithaca Shop Talk - June 10 at 6 pm, in person, in the BorgWarner East room of Tompkins County Public Library (Ithaca Library).
TOPIC: Analyzing First Pages of a novel. Our very own Hope Grietzer will present an exercise to help us become better at writing our own first pages by analyzing the first pages of published MG novels. Once we’ve got the hang of it, we’ll use the same technique to examine our own first pages. If you’re working on a novel (Chapter book, MG, YA) please bring the First Page to your Work in Progress.
Tompkins County Public Library is located at 101 East Green Street in Ithaca. There is Street Parking : Hourly Rate is $1.50/hr. and there is a 2 Hour Limit; free parking after 6 pm.
There are three parking garages close to the library - hourly rate is $1/hour for Green Street Garage, Seneca Street Garage, and Cayuga Street Garage. for more parking info, visit City of Ithaca website.
