Meet Theresa
Theresa is an author and illustrator. Her adventurous youth on a small WI dairy farm was the absolute start of her art journey. Mother Nature and eight imaginative, storytelling siblings set her creative mind in motion. Four years as a Fine Arts Major at UW Superior strengthened her knowledge, and introduced new art techniques. A writing class from the Institute of Children's Literature led her to SCBWI where she’s been a member since 2013. Her work has gained attention over recent years garnering the Illustrator award- WI Fall Conference 2016, People's Choice Illustrator Award- MMW Conference 2019, #PBParty Illustrator Showcase Finalist- 2022 & 2023, and #50PreciousWords Honorable Mention 2023. - She enjoys biking, camping, gardening, anything outdoors
- She creates scavenger hunts, and enjoys reading and drawing.
- She's not a pet person, but loves watching animals in their natural habitats
- Her favorite illustrator is Norman Rockwell, and way too many other children’s book illustrators to list
- She likes stories about families, friendships, adventure, but most especially stories revolving around imagination
