VIRTUAL / MONTHLY – WHAT TO EXPECT: Register for your chosen month on our Open Ohio North Events page. You'll receive a Zoom link by email the day before (or the day of) the meeting. *** SHARING YOUR WORK: At the beginning of each meeting, we'll see how many members would like to share so we can divide our time fairly. If you're sharing, have your manuscript open and be ready to use Zoom's Share Screen feature. If you'd rather not read your work aloud, someone else can read it for you. If you need help with screen sharing, simply email your manuscript to a Regional Team member before the meeting, and we'll display it for everyone. After each reading, members are invited to offer positive, constructive feedback. *** PLEASE NOTE: Sharing your work is completely optional, and so is giving feedback. You're welcome to attend just to observe and learn! Please be kind, respectful, open to suggestions, and most importantly, have fun! *** ALL children's publishing formats are welcome, including PBs, MG, YA, GN, Illos, dummies, queries, cover letters, contest entries, and more. VIRTUAL / MONTHLY—Join us each month for a virtual (Zoom) Illustration and/or portfolio critique by your peers! Participants will have time to share work and receive live feedback. VIRTUAL / MONTHLY - NEW! Join us monthly for a virtual (ZOOM) critique of your MG/YA novel! Participants will have time to read a few pages or chapters and receive live feedback. Or come to listen, learn, and give feedback of your own! Watch the registration page for upcoming dates and to register. Members only. Registration is required.

SOCIAL MEDIA / MONTHLY - A monthly art prompt, part of the SCBWI publication, Insight. All submissions are shown on the online gallery, and two winners are featured in Insight, the website, and social media. Deadline to submit is the last day of each month.

VIRTUAL / EVERY THURSDAY MORNING - Yep! You read that correctly. 5 AM! It's time to grab the coffee and join your peers for some individual "silent" work—but with a little company! It’s a great way to set a short-term goal for an hour and make some progress. Sessions are on THURSDAY mornings from 5-6:15 a.m. via Zoom. Members only. NO registration needed. Please email JOSH at [email protected] or CJ at [email protected] if you would like to receive the link weekly! ***NOTE: The link is the same every week. If for some reason you don't receive the Zoom link one week or can't find it, you can use any past 5am Sprint Link, and we'll be there!

Grab a drink, a snack, or your PJs and join your peers for some individual "silent" work—but with a little company! It’s a great way to set a short-term goal for an hour and make some progress. Sessions are on THURSDAY nights from 9-10pm via Zoom. Members only. NO registration needed.
