Winter Home Page Artist: Francie Towne

Each season we feature a different Illustrator's work on our homepage. Francie Towne is featured this winter. She lives in a small, noisy house in Bend, Oregon with three October-loving kids, a nerdy, chemistry-teaching husband and a cat named Figgy Pudding. If you would like to be featured as our seasonal artist, contact Robin and Jordan at: oregon-ic@scbwi.org or oregon-ic2@scbwi.org

Jessica Lynch-Jonely: Draw This Winner!

Congratulations, Jessica, for submitting (and winning!) the October Draw This challenge. You're inspiration to all of us to value our work and keep submitting! Jessica Lynch-Jonely is an author/illustrator who enjoys writing silly and imaginative stories, and playing with color and texture in her illustration pieces. When Jessica isn’t writing and illustrating picture books, or reading them to her kids, she can probably be found knitting, or baking something. (She has been known to stockpile yarn and butter like it’s doomsday rations.) Her sons, ages 9 and 5, keep her imagination in high gear, and provide plenty of inspiration for her stories and art. Jessica lives with her husband, her children, her dog, her cat, and an accidental tortoise, at the very end of the Oregon Trail, in a house that is probably haunted.
