Meetups

April

16 – Online Social for Louisville area writers and illustrators

We will catch up with each other, offer encouragement and tips for improving craft, and share work. There will be time for several authors to read a portion of their work and receive feedback. (Authors are given approximately ten minutes for their turn, so each will have to decide how to split their time. More reading equals less time for feedback. Around 250 - 500 words seems to work well in the time allotted.)

Time: 11:45 am - 12:45 pm EDT

Location: Online on Google Meets

Cost: FREE

For details and link, contact Amy Beaman: amy@amybeaman.com

30 – Midsouth Illustrator Virtual Meetup

Feel free to bring work to share for critique. New folks welcome!

18 – Memphis Meet-Up in May

Bring your current work in progress and a book or two that you consider great mentor texts. Bring it all to the back room where Novel hosts special events. We are going to play game that will hopefully help you think flexibly while having fun. Don't worry we will still have time to chat, critique, and share Mid-South and global writing resources. Plus, we will leave a little time for food and/or drink at Libro (the restaurant in the bookstore)!

Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm CDT

Location: Novel Bookstore

387 Perkins Extended Rd. Memphis, TN 38117

Cost: FREE but you can bring money if you choose to buy a snack or meal at Libro - or, of course, to buy a book!
