We're so glad you've joined our community of creatives. To make the most of your time here, your first step is to set the Midsouth as your Home Region. Choosing Midsouth ensures you appear on our regional membership roster so you can receive emails from the Regional Team. Follow these easy steps to ensure you never miss out on the great things happening in our region:
Choose the Midsouth as your Home Region
1. Login to your Member Home Page by clicking here.
2. Scroll down to "My Regions." If you do NOT see the Midsouth listed here, you will not appear on our regional membership roster to receive emails and updates from the Regional Team. To change that:
- Click on the green "Edit My Profile" button (on the right).
- Under Settings, scroll down to "Set your SCBWI home region, and add others you're interested in" and click on the green arrow.
- Select "Midsouth (Kentucky/Tennessee)" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the green "Update" button.
3. Now, confirm that your membership is current. To do that:
- Click on "Membership Details" on the right side of your screen. This will confirm your membership expiration date and offer you the option to renew if your membership has expired.
Now that you're connected to the Midsouth, build your community even further by:
– Subscribing to our region's newsletter (link at the bottom of the Midsouth home page)
– Connecting with fellow Midsouthers online and on social media:
- SCBWI Midsouth public Facebook group: Scbwi Midsouth
- SCBWI Midsouth Writers Facebook group: SCBWI Mid-South Writers (private – Midsouth writer members)
- SCBWI Midsouth Illustrators Facebook group: SCBWI Midsouth Illustrator Network (private – Midsouth illustrator members)

- SCBWI Midsouth on Threads (coming soon)
– Attending Meetups and Social Gatherings offered throughout the region.
– Attending Instagram Live Write-ins and Art-ins
– Coming to Regional Events, including our in-person conference (Sept. 13-14, 2025, in Nashville)
– Joining a Critique Group (available to Premium members only)
– Reaching out to your Regional Team when you have questions or ideas to share
